EBA CLEARING welcomes 50th active user of FPAD fraud-fighting functionality
EBA CLEARING announced today that its pan-European Fraud Pattern and Anomaly Detection (FPAD) functionality already counts 50 active users. FPAD has been available for RT1 and STEP2 users since March 2024, offering a wide range of real-time fraud-fighting tools based on fraud patterns and anomalies that can be identified at network level. The speedy uptake of the functionality demonstrates both the value provided by the functionality and how easily it can be integrated by users.
Pan-European proof of concept showcases value of request to pay
EBA CLEARING announced today that, together with eight multinational payment service providers (PSPs), the Company has completed a pan-European proof of concept leveraging its R2P Service. As part of this initiative, the participating institutions successfully exchanged request to pay messages via R2P in milliseconds. The proof of concept thus confirmed the readiness of R2P to support commercial use cases. It also showcased how PSPs can roll out and create value around request to pay, putting a special focus on e-invoicing in the business-to-business space. Pan-European verification of payee ready by December
EBA CLEARING announced today that it will provide its service users with Verification of Payee at a pan-European level as from December 2024. The roll-out of Verification of Payee is one element in the comprehensive preparation programme that the Company is engaging in with its user community to take instant payments to the next level.
EBA CLEARING announced today the delivery of a One-Leg Out Instant Credit Transfer (OCT Inst) Service in the RT1 System for November 2024. This new cross-border service in RT1 will be developed in line with the OCT Inst Scheme of the European Payments Council (EPC). It will rely on the processing infrastructure, the interfaces and other key components of EBA CLEARING’s pan-European instant payment system. The specifications for the service will be made available in April 2024.
