From November 2022, EBA CLEARING’s pan-European mass payment system will be upgraded to process SEPA transactions around the clock, seven days a week, and to provide settlement results to participating banks in minutes.
EBA CLEARING successfully completes migration of RT1 technical account to TIPS
EBA CLEARING announced today the successful migration of the RT1 technical account from TARGET2 to TIPS. EBA CLEARING announced today that its RT1 platform has reached critical mass in Belgium for instant payments. The leading pan-European instant payment infrastructure system currently counts six participants based in Belgium: Aion SA, BNP Paribas Fortis, Belfius, CBC Banque, ING Belgium and KBC Bank. Thanks to this coverage, the vast majority of Belgian payment accounts are now reachable for euro instant payments from all across Europe.
EBA CLEARING’s RT1 expands instant payment reach in Luxembourg
EBA CLEARING announced today that its RT1 platform has considerably expanded its reach in Luxembourg. Five new joiners connected to RT1 today, including two participants from Luxembourg: Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat, Luxembourg and Banque Internationale à Luxembourg. With these additional connections, RT1 has established critical mass for instant payments in 10 European countries.
